BANGKOK, 8 November 2023 - Santisuk Klongchaiya, Chief Executive Officer of Thai AirAsia, has received the CEO of The Year 2023 award (Best CEO in Resilient Leadership) from the leading English news outlet Bangkok Post. The award was given in recognition of his ability to lead the airline through the most challenging time in aviation history to achieve a rapid recovery with a strategy focused on maintaining the airline’s fleet and staff to be ready to compete as soon as the opportunity arose.

Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, Chief Executive Officer of Thai AirAsia, said, “Resilient Leadership recognition accounted for Thai AirAsia’s adaptability, which could not have resulted from the CEO alone. Rather, it was borne of the cooperation, perseverance and sacrifice of all of our Allstars. I would consider the accolade an “Award for Struggling Together” through the hardest period ever for the aviation industry and motivating the carrier to return to strength again.”

CEO of the Year 2023 by Bangkok Post selected its winners based on different roles and qualities, evaluating 14 chief executive officers. Mr. Krisada Chinavicharana, Minister of Finance, presided over the presentation of the awards.
